VDL buses are typical city buses since they maintain only 30 seats and have a lot of standing capacity. Your ride in a VDL should therefore be no longer than 30 minutes, and that is why they are used on short distances by MMT. Moreover The Euro 3 engine of the VDL is very environmental friendly. 100 VDL’s (DAF motor block) have been manufactured in Neoplan and are facilitated by an ORET Grant facility.

Contracts for another 150 are under construction and this batch will include full seater buses that can perform on longer distances. Moreover 60 VDL buses will be provided by the Belgian government, however these buses will be manufactured at the Jonkheere factory in Belgium
